Flying Strings Youth Ensemble is established by our mentor, Jin Yang, a very well-known Pipa artist and music educator. We play diverse instruments, including Pipa, Guzheng, Erhu, Zhongruan, flute, violin, cello, and piano. Our members aged from 8 to 18, coming from all over the United States, share the same love for music and our culture. We have performed at various events, such as Chinese New Year celebrations, Jazz festivals. We brought our music to senior living facilities, schools, museums, libraries. Our members have been recognized in variety of international competitions, including the “Dunhuang Cup”, “Great Composers Competition”, and “Golden Classical Music Awards”.
