About Us

The Flying Strings Youth Ensemble is a talented group of young musicians blending traditional Chinese and Western music. With members from across the United States playing diverse instruments, including pipa, guzheng, erhu, zhongruan, flute, violin, cello, and piano, the ensemble showcases its skills at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall. Apart from performances at events like Chinese New Year celebrations and jazz festivals, the ensemble actively engages in community outreach, spreading its music and culture in schools, museums, libraries, community centers, and senior living homes. Recognized in international competitions, including the “Dunhuang Cup”, “Great Composers Competition,” and “Golden Classical Music Awards”. The ensemble is committed to both musical excellence and community service.
